Welcome to the NEXXT AI Hackathon! By participating in this event and using the website www.nexxthackathon.com, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Organizers of the NEXXT AI Hackathon. Please read these terms carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not participate in the event.

The organizers of the “NEXXT AI Hackathon” are:

UNCHAIN MEDIA S.R.L., headquartered at Str. Dimitrie Anghel, no. 15F, ap. 11, Brașov, Romania, registered with the Trade Registry No. J8/1120/2022, with Fiscal Registration Code RO45968121; and

ASOCIATIA UNCHAIN, a non-profit legal entity/unit of worship organized under Romanian law, having its registered office at Str. Dimitrie Anghel, nr. 15F, Ap. 11, Brașov, Romania, identified with Fiscal Registration Code 47954629.

1. EVENT REGISTRATION

1.1 Consent to Data Collection:
By registering for the NEXXT AI Hackathon, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data by the Organizers. This data is necessary to process your registration and to manage your participation in the event.

1.2 Data Removal Request:
You may request the removal of your personal data at any time by contacting the Organizers at team@unchain.media. Please provide the necessary documentation to verify your identity. Requests will be processed within 30 days of receipt.

1.3 Free Participation:
Participation in the NEXXT AI Hackathon is free of charge. There are no hidden fees or costs involved. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email at the address provided in your registration form.

2. USE OF PERSONAL DATA

2.1 Data Usage:
The Oranizers will use your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your data will be stored and processed to facilitate your participation in the hackathon and for any other purposes to which you have consented.

2.2 Advertising and Communications:
By registering for the event, you agree that your personal information, including your name and team name, may be made public on online platforms related to the event. Your contact information may also be shared with partners, sponsors, or other entities supporting the event to ensure its smooth operation.

2.3 No Data Selling:
The Organizers will not sell your personal data, including your name or email address, to any third party without your explicit consent.

2.4 Profile Data:
By participating in the event, you agree that the Organizers may store the following types of data for internal purposes:

• Mandatory and voluntary data collected during registration.
• Voluntary data collected through online surveys.
• Data related to your participation in the hackathon and any related events.

2.5 Promotional Content:
You consent to being photographed or filmed during the event by the official photographer or videographer of the Organizers. These images and recordings may be used in promotional materials related to the hackathon.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

3.1 Project Ownership:
Participants retain full ownership of any projects, solutions, or intellectual property developed during the NEXXT AI Hackathon. The Organizers and its partners do not claim any rights to the participants’ projects.

3.2 Licensing:
By participating in the hackathon, you grant the Organizers a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and promote your submissions for purposes related to the competition.

4. EVENT RULES

4.1 Eligibility:
The NEXXT AI Hackathon is open to individuals aged 18 and above. Organizing team members and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.

4.2 Code of Conduct:
Participants must adhere to the Code of Conduct established by the Organizers. Any behavior deemed inappropriate, including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, or other forms of misconduct, will result in immediate disqualification.

4.3 Disqualification:
The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates the rules, including tampering with the registration process or submitting offensive or illegal content.

5. LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMERS

5.1 Limitation of Liability:
The Organizers are not responsible for any technical issues, errors, or malfunctions that may occur during the hackathon. Participation in the event is at your own risk.

5.2 Force Majeure:
The Organizers are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from the cancellation, postponement, or modification of the event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, or other emergencies.

6. MODIFICATION AND CANCELLATION

6.1 Event Changes:
The Organizers reserve the right to modify the event’s agenda, challenges, prizes, or other aspects of the hackathon. Any changes will be communicated to participants via the official website or email.

6.2 Event Cancellation:
In the event of cancellation, the Organizers will not be liable for any costs incurred by participants. The organizers will attempt to reschedule the event if possible.

7. GENERAL TERMS

7.1 Governing Law:
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of Brașov.

7.2 Severability:
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
